Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. (2 Corinthians 2:11)
Lucifer used confusion as his first rebellious act against the Lord God.
He confused a third of the Angels by means of lies and deception, convincing them of wrong ideas pertaining to God (otherwise why would the Angels be willing to praise and worship God only to rebel against him?). Kind of like how lobbyists go from politician to politician convincing them to write laws for a certain cause (usually against the will of the People).
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven (Luke 10:18) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him (Revelation 12:9)
Lucifer wanted God’s job (but it’s not available as Kent Hovind likes to say), he wanted to be like the most High and he used confusion to try and dethrone the Lord.
Confusing The Simplicity of Christ
Like the scribes and pharissees during the time of Jesus Christ, there are people that want to make understanding God and his Creation and Laws incredibly difficult. These type of people are mostly well meaning, they are passionate about God, but there is a difference between HAVING FAITH and WALKING IN FAITH.
The more difficult it is to try and understand God, the more confusing it is to try and know what God wants from you.
The more difficult it is to have a personal relationship with God, the more confusing it is to speak to him in prayer.
The more difficult it is to pray and talk to God, all the better for Satan and unclean spirits to enter, manipulate and confuse you.
The more confused you are about God, the more fear you have, the more you wander in the wilderness.
The more you wander in the wilderness and let Satan control you with confusion, fear and manipulation, the further you are from God.
The farther you are from God, the more your life will slowly degrade into nothingness, fear and death.
The more Lucifer is able to help you degrade, hate and wish death on yourself, the wider the gap between you and God gets.
Before you know it you are under total bondage to Satan. He will have your wrists tied so tight to the chains of oppression and destruction you won’t know how to get out. However, there is freedom… there is a way to get rid of the bondage and unshackle the chains and that is through Christ.
God is the Creator and we can’t understand how amazing he is however we can have faith in him like a child and know we have nothing to worried about. When we truly live in Faith, we can see God putting all the jigsaw pieces together. God will get you out of the prison Satan has you in. God will show you things so amazing, so surreal, that you won’t be able to understand – and sometimes you aren’t suppose to understand…
God is simple… he just wants us to be in awe of him, praise him, love him and enjoy him and the freedom he has given us.
It is not difficult to obey God, and in fact we have more freedom in Christ than we do in sin and in man’s law. God will give you good gifts from above and will not stop until we allow Satan to stand between us and him.
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)
Confusing Free Will With Fear
The Lord God gives his Angels and man free will. The Lord isn’t a tyrant. He has expectations. God is the Creator of all so it is only proper to obey him and his laws. I don’t believe God would appreciate having Angels “unwillingly” or “forced” to praise him and work for him in heaven – so God gives us free will.
Lucifer used his free will to rebel against God and was cast down for it.
Humans have free will and we can use that free will to obey and praise Jesus Christ or we can obey and praise Lucifer in sin and death.
Think of it like this: You have a child with your spouse. Your love for your child is unconditional. As the child gets older, he/she doesn’t love you back. You continue to love your child no matter what and wait for your child to return back to you – you don’t want to force your child to love you… so you wait…
This is like how God waits for his children. Christ shows us unconditional love despite how awful or horrible we can be.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
Confusing Correction With Abandonment
Sometimes God uses different forms of love and teaching to empower us and help form a sounder mind:
– Like chastising us to correct our behavior
– Put us through a sudden test to see if we have been paying attention in class and reading our Bible
– Allowing emotional pain to happen in your life to form you into a better person
– Giving you difficult tasks to accomplish because he needs strong warriors in the war against Satan
Like a parent teaching their child to ride a bike, you start with training wheels, then he pushes you around until he knows he can let go and let you ride on your own. Then when you can ride your bike with out training wheels, or being pushed, he gives you direction on where to go, what to do – sometimes gives you a bigger, better and faster bike – maybe even a jet plane (after you learn how to fly one of course).
When God asks you to do something, you just do it. It doesn’t matter if it sounds totally contrary to what may seem logical. You just do it. Despite what everyone may tell you, just do what God asks because he won’t lead you astray.
God is a good Father who loves you. God wants to teach wisdom. He is the best instructor in the universe (he created it, duh!) and only wants Good for you and to use you for his Glory.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (1 Corinthians 14:12)
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. (Hebrews 12:6)
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (James 1:12) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17)
Confusing Adam and Eve
Satan, the lying evil serpent who loves to destroy perfect gifts from God, confused the Word of God in order to destroy Adam and Eve. Lucifer enjoys making it difficult to know God and to trust his Word and rules. Just like Lucifer lobbying the Angels against God, so he lobbies humans against each other (especially Godly Christian men and women who want to start a family or have one – the destruction of family and relationships is Satan’s favorite thing to do)
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God has made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? (Genesis 3:1)
Before the fall of man, Adam and Eve did not know evil. God in his perfect creation did not want to confuse Adam and Eve. God wanted it to be simple for them. Just be Good. Don’t have bad thoughts, don’t have evil intentions, don’t try to confuse each other, do Good unto each other and just live for God.
Satan confused Eve and she ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. This instantly caused confusion and fear. It is presumed that Adam then sacrificed himself for his wife and also ate the fruit. This is a good theological discussion on sacrifice for another time – but nonetheless Adam loved his wife enough to die for her (kind of like God coming down as a man in Jesus Christ and sacrificing himself and dying for us – to save us from ourselves).
Now that humans know good and evil and have free will to do either or we are constantly back-biting, doing evil things to each other and having bad thoughts. We are fallen creatures in total confusion and derision. How much more simple would it be to just be good to each other and have Godly thoughts and speak Godly wisdom?
It is simple… we have Christ!
Go back to the cross and get back to God!
Don’t let Lucifer confuse you anymore. Don’t take a bite of that fruit of good and evil. Go back to Christ and live simply in him.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. (James 3:17)
King David, aside from Christ of course, was the greatest King who lived on earth. He was a man after God’s heart. He committed murder, adultery and dark sins that without God would have damned him to hell forever. But you know what? He didn’t stop pursuing God. He kept striving to be better, wiser, stronger and more faithful to the Lord.
Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. (Psalm 119:34)
Lucifer has confused the “once saved, always saved” and “repent to be saved” doctrine. Did anybody ever think that both are correct? Like King David, no matter how wretched he acted, turned to God when he was lost. King David’s soul was not damned to hell – why? – Because he was after God’s heart! He wanted to know God and obey him.
When a Christian or lost person truly gives their heart soul and mind to Jesus Christ, they are saved. However, we can’t truly know if the person is saved. Only God knows the heart. That is a scary thing to comprehend! To not know who is lying, who is misrepresenting the truth, who is causing confusion… I mean… what is the point of saving souls to Christ if we can’t trust those we save or those that say they are?
How can we trust anyone!
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Thank you God for your wisdom. Read that very carefully… you will know them by their fruit! Stand back, watch and observe the people around you.
Do you see the people around you making a change?
Do you see them striving to know God?
Do they provide good fruit in this world?
Do they accomplish anything for the Lord?
Do they keep their word?
Do they apologize when they do wrong?
Do they repent of any evil they recognize in their life and strive to be better?
Actions speak louder than words. If someone is saved, they will show you they are saved. They will walk out of the world and walk into the light.
Do Not Let Lucifer Confuse You
Lucifer takes great pleasure in confusion. This is what he has been doing from the very start. Don’t let Lucifer confuse you because if he does he gets a foothold into your life and can start picking you apart into tiny little pieces.
And before you know it you will stray away from the Lord.
Satan will destroy who you are and make you feel terrible about yourself. He will never let you live in freedom because he will do his best to confuse you. Lucifer will make knowing God very difficult and will stand in between you and God.w
